Inspiring Young Learners Every Day
Our curriculum meets children where they are and guides them through each stage of growth with care and confidence. Children learn through a mix of teacher-guided instruction, hands-on exploration, play-based discovery, and daily routines that reinforce skills. Every program is designed to build strong academic foundations, healthy social skills, and the confidence children need for kindergarten and beyond.
We use two main curricula:
- Frog Street (Infants–Pre-K): Focuses on age-appropriate learning in language, cognitive, social-emotional, and physical development. Activities include songs, stories, interactive play, and hands-on learning to encourage curiosity and growth.
- Abeka (Bible and Character Education): Supports Christian values and spiritual growth, helping children develop kindness, responsibility, and good character alongside their academic learning.
Our Daily Learning Experience
Each classroom follows a daily schedule that balances learning, play, movement, and rest to match the needs of each age group. Lesson plans include small and large group activities, teacher-guided learning, center rotations, and daily routines (hand washing, meals, water breaks, potty breaks, etc.). Children also get at least one hour of physical activity each day. When the weather keeps us indoors, play and movement continue safely in our gym.
Infants (6 Weeks – 12 Months)
Our infant care program provides a safe, loving environment where babies begin building the foundation for learning. Through intentional routines and responsive caregiving, teachers support early communication, sensory exploration, social bonding, and motor development. Daily experiences may include tummy time, songs, reading, movement, and interactive play that help infants feel secure, connected, and ready to grow.

Toddlers (12 – 24 Months)
Toddlers are naturally curious, and our program gives them the space and support to explore, communicate, and grow. Using developmentally appropriate activities through Frog Street, teachers help toddlers build independence, early language, social skills, and problem-solving through hands-on learning and daily routines. Learning is woven into play, transitions, outdoor time, and everyday moments that help children feel successful and confident.

Early Preschool (2 – 3 Years)
In our early preschool program, children begin strengthening early academic and social foundations through playful, age-appropriate learning experiences. Teachers introduce letters, numbers, vocabulary, routines, and social skills through hands-on activities, guided instruction, and creative exploration. Children are encouraged to ask questions, try new things, and build confidence as they learn in a caring Christian environment.

Preschool (3 – 4 Years)
Our preschool program helps children build a strong academic foundation while continuing to develop socially, emotionally, and spiritually. Through intentional lessons and engaging classroom experiences, children strengthen school-readiness skills in language, math, social interaction, and self-regulation. Bible stories and Christian values are woven into the day to support character development and positive behavior.

Pre-K (4 – 5 Years)
Our Pre-K program is designed to prepare children for a smooth and confident transition into kindergarten. Through hands-on learning, structured lessons, and joyful classroom experiences, children strengthen literacy, math, science, and critical thinking skills while continuing to grow socially and emotionally. With differentiated instruction and strong teacher support, children build the confidence, independence, and readiness needed for future success.

Before & After School Care
Our before-and-after-school care program provides a safe, dependable place for school-age children to learn, play, and recharge. Students have time for homework support, enrichment activities, outdoor play, and social interaction in a structured and caring environment. We also provide access to technology as needed for homework and school-related learning while continuing to encourage responsibility, respect, and positive character.

Smooth Transitions at Every Developmental Stage
As children grow, we work carefully to make each classroom transition feel positive, comfortable, and developmentally appropriate. The Lighthouse School creates an individualized transition plan for each child to help them become familiar with their new classroom, teachers, classmates, and daily routines before moving into the next program. This process also allows new teachers to learn each child’s unique personality, developmental needs, and learning style in advance.
Because every child is different, transition plans are flexible and may vary based on individual needs. Throughout the process, your child’s teacher and our director will communicate with parents to provide details, coordinate next steps, and ensure families feel informed, supported, and confident every step of the way.
