Tuition Rate 2025-2026
Effective August 4, 2025 – applicable to all ages except schoolers. Tuition changes when your child moves to the next classroom.
Discounts & Referral Program
We offer tuition discounts for families with multiple children enrolled, including 10% off tuition for a second child and 15% off tuition for a third child. We also offer 10% off tuition per child for military families, first responders, nurses, and school district teachers. Please note that discounts cannot be combined, and discounts do not apply to 2-day or 3-day tuition rates.
We love referrals and appreciate families who share their Lighthouse experience with others. Here’s how our referral program works:

Payment Options & Assistance
We offer several payment options to make managing tuition simple and convenient for families. Please review the information below for accepted payment methods, billing schedules, and available assistance programs.
Payment Methods
It is our philosophy that clients are paying for their spot in their child’s class, not actual days of care in our center. This is not based on attendance, but rather on a set weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly fee that is due regardless of the attendance habits of the child who has the spot.
Families may choose the payment schedule that works best for their needs. Available payment schedule options include:
- Weekly: Due the Friday before the week of service
- Semi-monthly: Due on the 1st and 15th of each month
- Monthly: Due on the 1st of each month
Payment Schedules
Toddlers are naturally curious, and our program gives them the space and support to explore, communicate, and grow. Using developmentally appropriate activities through Frog Street, teachers help toddlers build independence, early language, social skills, and problem-solving through hands-on learning and daily routines. Learning is woven into play, transitions, outdoor time, and everyday moments that help children feel successful and confident.

Assistance Programs
We accept qualifying subsidized child care programs through Workforce Solutions and Child Care Aware of America. Please note that registration, curriculum, supply, and late fees still apply for families using subsidy programs.
Attendance & Withdrawal Policy
Tuition is based on reserving your child’s space in our program, not on the number of days attended. Please review the information below regarding absences, school closures, vacation time, withdrawals, and returning to the program.
Absences, Closures & Refunds
No allowances, credits, or refunds are given for absences, including vacations, illness, or holidays. Credit is also not given if the school must close due to weather, national emergencies, or other events beyond the school’s control. In the event of an emergency closure due to a hurricane, pandemic, or similar event, families will be charged for the first five days of closure.
All tuition is non-refundable, except for prepaid tuition that exceeds any outstanding charges. Registration fees and curriculum/supply fees are also non-refundable.
Vacation Time
Families receive two weeks of vacation per year with prior notice, according to school policy. Tuition policies still apply unless otherwise approved by the school.
Withdrawal & Re-Enrollment
Parents must provide written notice at least two weeks before withdrawal. If a child is withdrawn from the program for a specified or unspecified period of time, a Re-Registration fee and an additional materials fee will be required to return. The exception is for families who continue paying full weekly tuition to hold their child’s spot in the program. If an account remains unpaid, The Lighthouse School may pursue collection of fees due, and families may be responsible for related collection costs or attorney’s fees. The school also reserves the right to terminate services, including immediate dismissal from the program, for nonpayment.
Common Questions
When is tuition due?
Tuition can be paid weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly based on the schedule that works best for your family. Weekly tuition is due the Friday before the week of service, semi-monthly payments are due on the 1st and 15th of each month, and monthly tuition is due on the 1st of each month.
In addition to tuition, registration and curriculum fees are required:
- Registration Fee: due before your child’s first day, at initial enrollment, and annually each August.
- Curriculum & Supply Fee: due before your child’s first day and again mid-year.
These payments ensure your child has access to all materials, supplies, and activities needed for the school year.
Are meals included in tuition?
Yes! Tuition includes breakfast, lunch, PM snack, and late snack. For school-age children, transportation is also included.
What happens if my payment is late?
Payments that are more than five days past due incur a $5 per day late fee. Accounts more than one week past due may result in a pause of services until the account is brought current. Returned ACH or check payments are subject to a $35 fee, and after two returned payments, future payments must be made by debit/credit card or cash.
Do you offer tuition discounts?

Can I receive credit for absences or school closures?
No. Tuition is charged to reserve your child’s space, not for daily attendance. No credits or refunds are issued for absences, vacations, illness, or school closures due to weather, national emergencies, or other events beyond our control. In emergency closures, families are charged for the first five days.
