Programs for Every Stage of Early Learning

Common Questions

What ages do your programs serve?

We provide care and education for children ranging from 6 weeks old through 12 years old, allowing families to stay within one consistent learning environment as their child grows.

Programs are designed for infants, toddlers, preschoolers (ages 2–4), and school-age children who need before and after school care. Each age group receives developmentally appropriate activities that support cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth.

What makes your early learning programs unique?

The Lighthouse School offers a Christ-centered learning environment that blends faith with early education and child development. Children engage in hands-on learning experiences that encourage curiosity, independence, and confidence. The program focuses on developing the whole child including spiritual, academic, social, and physical growth. This well-rounded approach helps build a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

What curriculum is used in your programs?

All of our programs use a structured and proven curriculum designed to support early childhood development and school readiness. For children 18 months and older, the Abeka curriculum introduces foundational skills in reading, math, and language. Learning is balanced with play-based activities to keep children engaged while building essential skills. This combination helps prepare children for a smooth transition into elementary school.

What does a typical day look like for children?

Each day includes a balance of teacher-guided lessons, play-based learning, group activities, and outdoor time. Children also enjoy regularly scheduled meals and snacks, including breakfast, a hot lunch, and afternoon snacks, which help keep them energized and support healthy routines throughout the day. This structured routine helps children feel comfortable while encouraging exploration, growth, and social development.

Do you offer programs beyond preschool?

Yes, The Lighthouse School offers several programs beyond preschool to support children at different stages of development. In addition to preschool, they provide care for infants as well as before and after school programs designed for older children. These extended programs give students opportunities for continued learning, enrichment, and supervision outside of regular school hours. They also offer summer camp programs, allowing children to stay engaged, active, and learning year-round.

Sailing to Success

With guidance from our caring staff, every child is equipped with the skills they need to navigate social interactions and build confidence. Each day, we help them chart a course toward becoming capable, well-rounded individuals, ready to sail smoothly into success in both public and private school settings.
