The Lighthouse School Teacher Qualifications & Training
All of our teachers meet and exceed state guidelines, including requirements for education, experience, and professional references. Our teachers must pass comprehensive background checks to ensure a safe learning environment. Our staff brings a strong foundation in early childhood education and hands-on classroom experience. Teachers participate in ongoing training throughout the year to stay current with best practices in curriculum, classroom management, and child safety. This ensures every child receives a high-quality, engaging, and supportive learning experience.
Our staff qualifications include:
- A detailed interview and screening process
- State-approved background check to ensure a clear federal criminal record review
- State CPR and first aid requirements fulfilled and renewed as necessary
- 24 hours of in-service training yearly, which includes Recognizing and Preventing Child Maltreatment and SIDS with head trauma
